The BEST holiday of the year!

TOP 10 REASONS THE 4TH OF JULY IS MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY OF THE YEAR!

1. Who wouldn't want to celebrate the day after their anniversary every year with fireworks? (4 years and counting...I love you, Joe! Thanks for the surprise date to Rusty's--the finest Cedar City has to offer...)

2. An excuse to buy cute, matching, red, white & blue outfits for everybody...

...especially my All-American Princess!

3. An even better excuse to go on a road trip to visit my also-passionate-about-the-4th sister.

(Bonus: She is now only 1/2 a gas tank away! (We no longer measure by distance, but rather by how much gas we'll need to get there and back...)

4. Playing at the park and swimming ALL. DAY. LONG.

(Down-side: It was an indoor pool (although fabulous)...what's the 4th of July without a nice sunburn for the fireworks show? 5. Pre-fireworks naps! 6. Watching their faces light up with every explosion.

7. Sleeping Avery...she missed the big show, which turned out to be a GREAT thing. She HATED our own show the next night!

8. Patriotic music. I LOVE IT! God Bless the USA has to be one of my all-time favorite songs.

9. Watching the grand finale through the rear-view mirrors as we drove down from Brianhead (Bryce Canyon)? What was up with the 5-minute intermission? Oh well...next time we'll know that if the grand finale doesn't seem so grand, it's probably not really the end!

10. I'M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!

"And I'm proud to be an american..." (feel free to sing along)"...where at least I know I'm free..."

Weren't the fireworks in Bryce Canyon awesome! I guess they would have been even more awesome had we not missed the grand finale! Oh-well. Next time we will know to not be so stressed out about what time to leave to see the show since it doesn't get dark until 10pm anyway.

We really had a great time having you here. Too bad my vacation is over. Now I have to start living my "real" life here...whatever that is.

All of your pictures turned out really cute too! I think we should make Bryce Canyon 4th of July's a tradition. What do you think? Love you!

We did the Bryce Canyon fireworks one year and they were great. I recognize that green patchwork blanket (hehe). I wish we could have been there too.

HOW FUN! My sister will be here over the 24th and I am so excited! I love the 4th and 24th because its summer, warm, family time with good summertime food like watermelon, potato salad, homemade ice cream.
Anyway, I love pictures of everyone when I don't get to see you often. It is so much fun!
Glad you get to see each other more often. Wish Becky would move closer!

Happy Four Years, that is awesome!
Can you believe how time flies? Steve and I hit 11 years back in May. That is just NUTS!! Next thing you know you'll be at 10 year and wonder were the time went. But when you are with the man you love what does time matter!!

I am so glad that you got to spend the 4th with Kimberly and her family. I love all the pic's of all the cousin and I just LOVE Avery's outfit. What fun!!

I hate indoor pools too. They seem so stuffy and echoey. How fun you get to spend more time with Kimberly. I love how you dress your baby and she is so chubby and adorable.

OK that's hilarious that you missed the grande finale. We totally did that one year and then Khursten was ticked beyond belief when she figured it out. They really should give you some sort of warning. Looks like you guys had a great weekend. The 4th of July is the greatest, isn't it?

Sounds like fun...so let me get this straight Kimberely moved to Cedar City, and you live in Riverton or Taylorsville... I can't keep it all straight I get too confused. For some reason I Love the 4th. I made Dan take the day off for it this year because I was so sick of being alone w/o him on that day - it's been 5 years since we had one together. There's just something about BBQ, swimming, and fireworks I love the day Oh and the Red White and Blue clothes - you're so cute!

So, was it Brian Head or Bryce Canyon? Both are favorite place and I LOVED staying at Cedar Breaks in Brian Head.

WHat a wonderful celebration you had, intermission and all!

It was Brian Head...I was confused when I did my post. Oops...hopefully no one heads to Bryce Canyon hoping for fireworks next year. Anyway, it was BEAUTIFUL!
