I WANNA TALK ABOUT ME....

I don't usually play along with tags...mostly because they feel like a homework assignment or something to me, and I'm a big-time procrastinator! By the time I get around to the tag, the time has passed. This one, however, requires work and thinking on YOUR part! So here's the deal...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you (and if this isn't on there...I'll assume you're a procrastinator like me and will check back later!)

YEA! I'm the first on to post on your blog. I don't think that has ever happened!!! (smile)

Okay so my memory about you is when we were younger, we had the family reunion at Grandma and Grandpa Roush's condo. Grandma got that creepy guy to come and record all of us singing our songs together. I especially loved sitting on the balcony singing as loud as we could as we looked at the temple as the sun set. We made up Peanut Butter and Jelly and so many other crazy songs. that was so fun hearing all of our voices together!!! I love that!

Love ya Robyn!

I remember being at your graduation from BYU and sitting by Joe as we watched you go by. He leaned over to me and told me how cute you were. I agreed. And the best part is you're also kind, thoughtful, smart, a great mom and wife and so many other things ! ! !

Love ya, mom G

What a FUN tag...

So here is my memory...

One night our parents went out for the night, they left all the kids at my house. All us girls decided to have a fashion show and we came up with the MOST CRAZY outfits. As we walked down the catwalk (the hallway) we dance and laughted. I think our outfits were a little RISKY cause as soon as we heard our parents coming in we all ran and changed as FAST as we could. What good time!!

Thanks that was FUN!!

Remember when we won a trip to Mexico and on the way back you and Aubrey got stuck and almost didn't make it home? That part sucked, but the rest of the trip was fun!

Darcie's comment made me laugh...I remember night. Woo-woo! I think we were having a little too much fun!

My favorite memory of us is when we went to Denver to audition for American Idol. We had such a hard time finding our way around the airport, when we arrived, and the hotel we stayed in that first night was such a dump!! We didn't see Ryan or Simon or Paula like we had hoped, but we made some (strange) friends while waiting in line and had such a good time. We were so grumpy with each other by the end of the trip. Especially after spending the day at Tisha's and freaking out about how we were going to get home, but I still look back and remember it as being one of the best times in my life!

Besides going to all of your concerts, recitals, games, competitions, boutiques, graduations, child births (not Parker), marriages, dinners, birthdays, speeches, assemblies farewells, homecomings, etc., I really like thinking about the time we took a bath together and I pooped in the tub, and you asked why I got to have pickles in the tub, and you didn't!

Well Robyn, in response to your comment we got our eyelashes dyed before I got married because you asked me if I was excited to do you know what on my wedding day! (I know, awkward. That really bumped our relationship to the next level.) But my other funny memory is how Joe and I enjoy farting a lot when we're together, and at first you just acted polite about it and giggled. But then one day I guess you realized you needed to fart also so you let one fly! Way to go Robyn (it is a natural bodily function ya know!)

Hi Robyn,

It's Alicia (Darcie's sister)so how can I really top the oh so FREAKY fashion show. But another favorite is when Darcie and Kim make up dances and perform them for us. Wow they were ROCKIN:) I heard you have an Avery also. Great minds think alike. However my baby turned four last January. I also moved to West Jordan over a year ago. Oh WOW so much in common.

I'm still laughing about the Michael comment!!!! And speaking of the tub...I remember we used to take baths together at your house (when we were really little) and we would stand up and squeeze our butt cheeks together and ask each other if we could see the dimples!!! But mostlty memories with you are like a flash back of hundreds of memories all squished together in one big memory....sleepovers, barbies, sprinklers (with giant blow-up otter pops), riding matching bikes, riding our scooters, making up dances, getting teased by JD Kendall, eating dinner at your house, Michael tagging along, putting on tons of my moms makeup then having her take our picture, animal crackers in my soup tap dance, saying "I know you are but what am I" when in a fight, calling you on my moms old rotary phone:), heartbreak when you moved away, you telling me that you started hemraging (your period), well I could go on forever:)....LOVE ALL THOSE MEMORIES WITH YA!!!!

Okay, just thought of some more...

The road trip to California last year where on the way home we got stuck in traffic outside of St. George and Parker was crying "like a baby," and you had me just take him out of his seat.

Also, when you were in HS, you would talk on the phone all the time and I would come and sit at the foot of your bed and listen to everything, mainly just to bother you, but also 'cause I wanted to know what you were saying, and you wouldn't kick me out.

And all of our road trips to California while we were both at school, especially the one where we made two people sit in the back next to each other because neither of us wanted to sit next to one of the two.

Or how we got to go into "Apollo 13" early at the theater because you had a broken leg. Everyone else had to wait outside in line, but we got to sit inside. I think the Kershaws were with us.

I remember the first time I met you...Joe introduced you and immediately I thought..."nice Joe! Way to go! She's a keeper for sure!"

I remember dancing like a crazy woman at your wedding reception in Brea. I thought the Finish circle dance thing with the flower wreath was pretty cool too.

I also remember seeing you for the first time after you had just had Parker...you made me cry! What a sweet Mom you are!!

I remember knowing you in high school and then realizing my brother was dating your sister, it was so weird! We both started talking to each other more because of them. Good thing it worked out!

Okay Random that your sister in law knows who I am. I do remember the name, but I need a picture to refresh my memory of her face.

A memory I have of you is when we went to Sandy's wedding reception. I was in trouble with Grandma Roush because I didn't make it to the Temple for pictures - I'm always in trouble with someone in the family.

Anyway I hadn't seen you for oh gosh years and years... you had gone from this little girl I remembered to this teenager almost all grown up. Then you and Kimberely, I don't remember if your mom sang too but it was so pretty and you guys were just so grown up it made me sad that I'd missed out on so much with your family. That's my memory - you're such a cute girl! Thanks for letting me get to know you again with the blogs...it means a lot that you take the time to leave comments on mine.
Love ya,
Beck

I remember you and Joe coming up to where John and I and the kids were camping by Deer Creek. John and Joe went on a morning run. They took a LONG time and we finally went looking for them. We found them but it was still kind of crazy! You were so nice to my kids and always have been since the first time we met you. Thanks for being a kind sister-in-law.

I just commented on Kimberly's blog somethimg similar...
I don't have tons of memories with you guys. I know its so sad.
I do remember spending a lot of time at your house when we were young and my parents were still married.
I remember a lot of times we would see each other at Grandma Hand's house for Christmas or other holidays.
I think I remember singing at Grandma Hand's farewell together with Kimberly and Becky. Actually, I think most of the grandkids sang, as well as at Grandma and Grandpa Roush's farewell.
I remember hearing you were leaving on a mission and thinking how awesome it was to share something in common with you.
And my favorite memory is you as a little girl with a lisp. My memory fails me, so if it wasn't you then sorry but I think you had the cutest lisp and I used to want you to talk so I could hear it over and over again.

I can remember that you had to bring Michael with you when you came to play at our house and you really didn't want to so me and Michael got to be pretty good buds. I remember sewing outfits for you and Aly cause you wanted to be alike. Remember the Pink and Gray stripped top with the matching stirrup pants? You guys were stylin!!

This is kind of a dumb "memory", but I remember when your family first moved into the ward and what a cute family I thought that you guys were. Also, I kept meaning to tell you that every week at our new ward Kennadee keeps asking if Parker is going to be in nursery. She has asked about him every Sunday!
Also, I remember when Ali and I brought you dinner after you had Avery and were in your "Dolly Parton" stage and feeling for you!

The one time I woke up early one morning to get ready, and somehow I made your cell phone go off and you and aubrey were so disoriented. I felt bad, but was laughing so hard inside!

Okay. I've been reading people's comments and almost peeing in my pants, cause they've been so funny. I guess I have to say something too! One of the best memories that I have with you, was when we were missionaries in Finland and one night we decided to run around the appartment naked! It was pretty crazy, but that's THE memory that still makes me laugh so much, every time I think about it.

I remember hanging out with you and Kimberly. We were in a car driving somewhere or other, again I can't remember where we were headed, I just remember we were together. I always love singing with you guys. We were singing together in the car and decided to form a band. We all picked instruments, we all wanted the guitar. It was pretty funny. :)

I remember being at Grandma Hands house and all the kids sitting on the couch singing and bouncing up and down. Grandma just got the couches and didnt want any bouncing. So in unison all the kids started just moving your heads up and down. It still makes me laugh when I remember it!! love ya Pat

Thanks to Aimee, I can respond on your blog. What a fun blog. I remember when you girls all got together and made up that peanut butter and jelly song. I wish you guys were still singing together. What talent you have Robyn. You amaze me with all that you take on and do. I remember when you won that trip to Japan. I was so impressed. Then you went on to the Dominican Republic. Then you went on a mission and lost your luggage. You lived with hand me downs for quite a while. What a great person you are. You have a way of making people feel so good.
I love you

Okay, look at me... I'm not a procrastinator anymore! Okay my memory is coming to the hopital just hours after you delivered Avery. I was so excited for you all day long. When I got there you looked so happy and beautiful! I got to help you with Avery while the nurse helped get you situated. Thanks for letting me be apart of such a special day! I was so honored to be one of the first to hold your newborn! Oh and thanks for being such a great neighbor and friend too! Love ya!

How can I pick just one when there are so many? I remember when you broke your leg before going to Sadie's, and how scared I was that you would never be the same. You proved me wrong though. You recovered remarkably fast! You even tried out for cheer with that big huge cast on your leg...AND MADE IT! You just had a smile that made the judges overlook the leg. Remember the night of PRISM and how we had to run home to change your clothes and then race back to the school? How many times did we do that that night? Remember how mad I was at all those people who parked in the handicapped parking spots when we NEEDED one?

I also remember how fun it was to watch you sing in Vocal Ensemble. Your hair was so blonde and went to your waist. You looked so pretty in that black dress! You could also sing any part they gave you. Tenor, soprano, alto....everything but bass!

I remember the first time I met you. It was the night of your first date with Joe. I was at the apartment that Joe and Matthew shared when you and Joe came in. It was after your actual "date" and was like 10:00 pm or something. A bunch of us were there watching Thumb movies and you and Joe sat down to watch too. Joe was laughing hysterically and you were sitting on the couch looking a bit confused and a tad frightened :) I remember leaning over to Matthew and saying "isn't this their first date?" and Matthew said yes, and I told Matthew that a first date was too early to introduce a girl you like to Thumb movies and that I would be very surprised if you went out with him again...I'm glad I was wrong!

K-I've got another one. All I have to say is; I would walk 500 miles in Grandma Hands basement. Remember that? That was so fun, how geeky are we? :)

A great memory I have is when we celebrated Christmas in our apartment with Eli and Gretchen. We sang christmas songs in Spanish, English and Finnish and shared our favorite stories of Christ from the scriptures. That was awesome.

And THEN we played Ultimate Spoons where we had to race up the stairs to someones bed and we were crawling over eachother and pulling eachother down the stairs to get to the spoons (I thought my glasses were going to be broken by Gretchen).
