the real reason...

OK, so my house looks like a tornado hit, but oh well. We've been busy, and I'm tired! Here's the real reason for the unfolded laundry, ungrown garden, and uncooked meals....

In the past week, I have:

gone to 1 concert in the park,
run 22 miles,
taken the kids to 1 story time at the library,
driven up the canyon 2 times,
gone on 1 hike with the kids (while Joe biked),
visited 1 camping family for hot dogs and smores,
eaten approximately 10 smores and 2 hot dogs,
hosted 2 playdates,
attended 1 playgroup activity,
gone to 1 birthday party (Happy 31st Bday, Dave),
had 1 crazy girl's night out,
made 1 trip to Brigham City,
used approximately 17.4 gallons of gas,
written 1 song for tomorrow's family reunion,
watched 2 "So You Think You Can Dance" episodes,
cried after 1 baby fell off the bed,
read at least 50 blog posts,
had 1 sick baby which resulted in 1 all-nighter,
cancelled 2 more playdates.

still to come as we finish the week:

1 doctor's appointment (and probably at least 1 ear infection),
1 5K race,
1 family reunion,
1 80th birthday party (Happy B-day Grandma B!),
1 wedding reception.
2 tickets to The Dark Knight!

what's missing?

1 nap!

See...there's a good reason for housework not done. Although, if the truth were known...you are a bit OCD about your house. So relax, jump on top of the laundry and take that much needed nap... and don't let it keep you up at night...you've got two babies who do that.

Wow. That's all I have to say. Wow.

I'm tired from reading your blog! Talk about a crazy girl's night out! hahahaha!

You've ran 22 miles??? Holy cow! I've only ran 9...maybe 9 1/2. Don't feel bad about the laundry. I washed mine on Monday and just folded it tonight. The only reason it got folded was because Devon's mom convinced me to let her help me. I'm not used to getting the laundry folded so fast. I guess there are a lot of advantages to living with my mother-in-law. I hope your song and reunion go good tomorrow! Actually, I know they will be great! Love ya!

Okay, I must say that YOU are definately the "brave" one!!! Sure, I posted my weight...but YOU posted your messy house!!!! I don't think that I would ever be THAT brave:) So I would say that you probably won that round (not that it was a contest)!!! And I think that it is AWESOME that you did all of those fun things first!!! You won't ever regret the time spent with your family (especially when those babies are all grown and gone).

And that is sooo sad that she fell off the bed...I remember Annie fell off the bed once (Chuck's fault of course:)

When did you go to Brigham? We spent the entire day there on Thursday:)

Very cute post!!!

So... there you go! It's not like you just sit around the house and won't get anything done.

That is one BUSY week. I think that it is GREAT that you put all those FUN things before folding laundry. GOOD FOR YOU!! It's nice to hear that everyone has those CRAZY weeks and that it's totally okay.

holy Shnikes, You are busy! (smile) Yeah I'm sure you're thinking sleep? what's that?

How in the world do you do it? I'm amazed, I know Kimberly is just as busy. I could really learn a thing or two from you two! You're awesome!

Love your post! How do you get so much done! 22 miles. Incredible!

Sounds like you're going to have a fabulous weekend! Enjoy!!

Your kids will not tell stories when they get older about how their Mom always had the laundry done, it will be about all the fun things you did with them. The laundry will not grow up and leave home, it will wait for you...enjoy your kids and your summer!

Seriously, I wish I were that busy. My life isn't nearly that exciting!

I have only one thing to say to you Wonder Woman...You're AMAZING! Go Robyn!!!

Yup...I knew you were super busy. Me...I just plain have those weeks where I am on break from my "duties"! In fact I think of it as being a minimal Mom (I only do the bare minimum to squeeze by):)

Girlfriend, I think you're missing MORE than one nap. I think you're missing like eight with a week like that!

It is so crazy how busy life gets with two kids. It always seems like naps get crowded out and the house is always messy. I hear you on this one. Good luck with the ear infection too. Those are miserable.

Just read your comment on Alicia blog. Chad has two kids Kyler 2 1/2and Raegyn 13 months. He also has a blog but doesn't update it much. It's under Daivs Family on my blog. Chase also has a blog. Chase and his wife live in Ohio, he is going to Dental school. His wife is the reason why we all blog. We just got my mom to start blogging also. I LOVE blogging!! :)

Don't worry about the house, have Joe watch the kids SOMETIME during this weekend/week and take your much deserved nap!

WOW! You are superwoman, don't try to convince yourself otherwise. You are totally awesome, with or without a clean house. In fact, I think you are even more awesome that other things are more important to you than that! You house is lived in, and loved in. Thats what matters most. WAY TO GO TO YOU!

Craziness, I HATE running and totally commend you for doing it. Aren't smores the best?! Dark Knight is AWESOME, we just saw it last night, you will love it. Still can't make-up my mind about Maggie Gynellhol (sp?) I just don't think I like her, she was the only bad thing of the movie, in my opinion.

22 miles and none with us? What the crap. Though we did run 11 miles sat and it was a little rough! I think you must join us sometime!

How was your race? Seriously so impressed!

Don't worry Robyn, The nap will come in about 6 years, but only for a little bit. Then you have a few years before they are teenagers and then you don't sleep at all until they are married happily. What an adventure. I sure do love you! What a cute mom you are

That is pretty much the funniest post I have ever read! I would hate to add up my numbers but maybe it would explain the tornado that seemed to go through our place! Hey no worries on the bday call! My phone is on the fritz (it got set down in water!) and I was a bit bah-humbug on my bday!

Hey Robyn, to answer you question, I designed those pictures in Photoshop using one of the cluster frames I have. Then I save it to the exact size of my blog. When I post them on my blog, I go back in and edit the HTML code and take out the part that turns the pictures into a thumbnail (it usually looks something like s320/). Then it will post them at their actual size. I'm sure that's not confusing at all. :) Hope that helps.

Yikes! That is one crazy week. That would be like a month in my life. (except for the run 22 miles thing) ha. Sorry to hear about your sick kids. That's never fun. Can't wait to see pics of the 5k/family reunion. By the way, you are my hero! You are amazing.
