Don't Snore Me Again....

While reading a bedtime story a few nights ago....

Me: Parker, what does a lion say?
Parker: Rooooaaaar
Me: Yep, it says rooooooooaaaaar!
Parker (with quivering lip): Mommy!
Me: Roooooaaaar!
Parker (starting to cry): Mommy!
Me: Parker, are you scared?
Parker (now hysterical): Yeah!
Me: I'm sorry, buddy! I was just pretending to be a lion.
Parker: Mommy! Don't do it again!

While driving home from a wedding reception last night...
Parker: Mommy, go to sleep!
Me: hooooonk shoooooo... (think: snoring)
Parker: Mommy!
Me: hoooooonk shoooooo.....
Parker (voice shaking): Mommy!
Me: Parker! I'm sorry! I was just pretending to snore. I'm not really asleep.
Parker: I don't like that, mommy!
Me: OK. I'm not snoring anymore.
Parker (repeatedly for the remainder of the ride home): Mommy! Don't snore me again!
OK Parker...I won't "snore" you anymore!

What a cute blog! Me, I know I snore and that is a fact that I do hate to admit. Parker is so sensitive that I hope no one snores are growls around him.

That is so sweet. You're so smart to document these little conversations while you remember them.

That was laugh out loud FUNNY! The poor little guy. It's funny sometimes the things they are scared of. It makes you wonder what is going on his little head:) He is so cute!

"Old Red Beard" makes an appearance again. Did Erin take those pictures?

Also, that is so funny that he really got scared. I guess he just really likes you the way you are and doesn't want you to change...even into an animal or snorer.

That is hilarious! I can totally picture his face too! I wonder if my snoring scared him the other day...

I had to look back at the pictures again to see what Michael meant by "Old Red Beard". That makes me laugh! Avery looks very pretty in lavendar! I like your shirt on you too! Glad you like it.

I have been laughing about Parker's "Don't snore me" comment since you told me about it. You're going to be so glad you are documenting all of this...because you will forget!

That's pretty funny. Kids say the funniest things. I know Megan and Ashley have had us in stitches a few times. So cute and sweet, little Parker.

That is so funny about his fears. When I put Nicky to bed she makes sure to tell me that I can be in the other room but I can't sleep. There is something about me being asleep that really scares her. If she was really smart about it, she'd realize it is more scary if I don't sleep.

Cute kids! LOVE Avery in the picture just of her. She has big blue eyes like you!
I love it when my kids say cute stuff. Emilee was like 3 and we were all sitting down for dinner and she just out of the blue said:
"Awkward" (SP?) And we all just sat there stunned like, did she really say that, she's 3! Then we burst out laughing. She had been watching too much "grinch" with Jim Carrey.

It's so funny...I read the things you write about Parker and can totally imagine Zac saying exactly the same things (especially the car conversation about snoring). He is actually into growling and roaring lately, though, as he loves to pretend he is "The Beast" from Beauty & the Beast. Cute pictures!
