- Clean and scrub my house. (It's a pre-leaving ritual I HAVE to do).
- Create a new budget.
- Organize our finances (up until now I've pretty much left them up to my husband. I'm ready to turn over a new leaf. Maybe I'll spend less if I'm more aware of where it's all going...we'll see).
- Find a babysitter in California for my 8-month old (unless she decides to take a bottle before then, so I can leave her home).
- Pack for myself and baby.
- Pack for my 2-year old and his stay at Grandma's.
- Probably pack for the husband and his man-weekend-pheasant-hunting trip. Ewwwww.
- Shop for what-I-consider-suitable-snacks for my trip (we all know I need my fiber).
- Gear up for some most-likely awkward reunion conversations (Yeah...I do remember that time...errrr...what was your name again?)
- Get out old Yearbooks for a refresher.
- Cut my hair. (I want it long again, but this in-between length will never do.)
- Get a pedicure.
- Find something suitable to wear (for each of the 5 days I'm there).
- Lose the last 9 post-baby pounds.
- Workout 3 times a day in a last-ditch effort.
- Hurry and start a successful business.
- Wonder why I care about impressing people I haven't seen for 10-years, and probably won't see for another 10 (besides my girlfriends...but why would I need to impress them?)
- Decide that cleaning, packing, and budgeting will have to suffice.
- And maybe just one new outfit.
Do any of you have times where you want to appear beautiful, successful, happy, intelligent, fill in the blank with desirable qualities, etc. Read on

I sure like you. I love your list. I think I had a mental list very similar to this when I heard of my high school reunion this summer. Somehow nothing on the list got done and I ended up skipping the reunion all-together. Hope you have better luck than I did. :)
Hope you have fun! Kelly and I had our reunion this summer. It was fun, but I do wish I had studied the yearbook before hand. I was surprised at how many names I forgot!
I am so jealous that you get to go to your reunion. Have a blast! Can you believe that we are that old??
I hope that you have a blast!!! My ten year was VERY dull. I hope that yours is a lot more fun!! If not at least you will get a little warmer weather and new clothes that is a PLUS!!! Cannot wait to hear how everyting goes!!! GOOD LUCK!
do i have to comment on both blogs?
You are so funny! Just apply some sunless tanning cream...it makes a world of difference (just don't let Annie know:)
You don't have a thing to worry about! You ARE the perfect weight, you HAVE the perfect job, and you ARE the best person already...it doesn't matter what your high school friends think. We KNOW better!!! Love ya sis!
i'm really glad you shortened your list there at the end because i was starting to panic a little bit for you. hahaha! you'll look beautiful and you'll have an amazing time. it's always nice to get away for a little you time.
Hope you have a good time at the reunion! You are a kind wife for letting your husband go hunting instead of dragging him with you, I hope he says thanks!
What's going to be so fun is the T.R.A.K.S. reunion. Give those girls a big hug from me. I wish we were back on Hamer Drive so I could listen to all of you talk. Hmmm maybe you should accidentally call me at 2:00 a.m. while you're driving somewhere so I can try to figure out who the heck it is. Remember when you did that with Mandy and Stephanie and I commented on something the next day that I would have only known if I'd been there with you? Soooo funny!!! I love teenagers, and you guys were the BEST! I miss those days! Have a GREAT time, and say hello to good ol' Placentia for me.
Hope you are having Fun. I tag you on my blog!!!
I had no idea you had so much to do. Did you find the perfect outfit to go along with your new perfect do? I wish I could watch Avery for you!!!!!!!! I can't wait to hear how your reunion goes.
You have to take lots of pictures so that I can get to see everyone. I am not going as I already told you, I would feel so uncomfortable and weird because I hated high school. I hope you have tons of fun though and come back with some great stories.
So I had my high school reunion this year and I refuse to tell you which one it was. We are all past looking good or being successful, at my age it just won't happen but I know you will have a great time. Always good to see those people you don't remember!!
I am all ready to stand in a "babysitting grandma" for Avery- just let me know when you need me!
Robyn, your entire family is so hilarious. I love reading all of your blogs. Thanks for brightening my day and making me feel "normal".
You make me feel old! My 20-year reunion is in a couple of years and my goal is to show up looking more fabulous than I did in high school.
Errr....yeah. Good luck with that. ;-)
