Joe amazingly got a very over-tired boy to take a nap on Saturday. Joe LOVES taking naps on the weekend, and sometimes I complain because there are other things
I want him to be doing. I couldn't complain this time (except for the fact that he was sleeping
under the covers. I don't know why, but it grosses me out to sleep in normal clothes under the sheets. Naps should be taken on top of a made bed with a blanket...Joe doesn't agree...do you?)
It was a good thing Parker took a nap to prepare him for his emotional night! It used to be a nice break to have friends over for Parker to play with. He's going through a terrible phase right now where it's a nightmare! He cries, he screams, he canNOT share!
Colby and Kandis came over for dinner, then stayed to watch Parker while we went to the adult session of Stake Conference. Apparently Parker does fine as long as we aren't here! Kandis took pictures to prove that Parker does indeed know how to share. We were amazed to walk into a quiet house. Kandis was working her magic!!!

On Sunday we went to Marci and Marcus' house. While Parker and Jacob screamed at each other, Avery and Tate sat nicely and quietly. Yes, Avery is still an angel. Parker is too....just not when other kids are involved (or his parents, apparently!)

I was a little distressed that the legos were upstairs again! I'll bet Kandis had fun keeping those things picked up while you were gone. Naps should be on top of the covers, and Legos should be stored in their containers high above a child's reach. The end.
What a blog. Robyn you are so much like me in the fact that naps should be taken on top of the cover and not between the sheets when fully clothed. we all have our funny quirks. I can't believe how Avery is growing and changing.
I don't know what cracks me up more - your post or your Mom's comment. Said by a woman who probably just spent weeks picking up the legos.
Oh, and naps? Should be taken on top of the covers with a blanket, thank you very much.
Brett does the nap thing on Sat. and I don't like it either, but I try to be a nice wife because he works so hard.
I about jumped up and down when I read that you hate taking naps under the covers during the day! I am the same way!!! And Matthew, like Joe, doesn't get it. Haliluah, someone else who understands that once a bed is made, all naps must be taken on top with a blanket!!!
By the way, the look on Parker's face in the second picture says it all!
Hopefully Parker will outgrow his "mine" phase! It was funny at the park when he thought that all of the playground equipment was "mine!" And good thing we have Tate and Avery to mellow out the bunch!!
