Been there. Sorry. Maybe tomorrow will be better??? Hang in there...this too shall pass? In Avery's case, it already has, aparently. Love ya. You're a great Mom!!!
Oh my gosh! I should have recorded Ellie this evening! Seriously, she was singing the same tune! She wouldn't eat mac and freakin cheese... even for a piece of birthday cake! Everyone went to bed at 7 tonight! I'm following everyone in just a few mins. Something must be in the water on our street!
Heh heh.. Parker's cry for a brownie made me laugh... It makes me think of ALL the two year olds, including my Emma. It just seems more and more to me, that they are just like teenage girls in the middle of a dramatic break down! SOOO emotional and upset about the silliest things! And poor Avery!! :)
that's hilarious in a really sympathetic way. i'm sorry! loved looking at your blog and i finally figured out how to make min cute from your sister's "design your own blog" link.
I hate the blow outs, Gwen only had them up her back the first couple of months, when I was breast feeding. More laundry or even just throwing clothes away!!!
I might have been willing to make you a trade yesterday. There must have been something in the water. Oh wait... I think it was probably something in the soda that my lovely mom gave my kids. The were so wild. I thought I was going to go insane. But when the finally came down off their sugar high, the crashed. It was a really loooooong day though.
We did finally give him a brownie...all it took was for him to take ONE freakin' bite of his dinner. He gagged down about TWO pieces of rice which allowed him a stupid brownie! We wanted to just give in, but his tantrum was kind of funny at the same time.
I have so many of those days! Sometimes I wish my name wasn't Mom! Kelly and I have to turn our heads and laugh a lot when the kids are having a fit over something. If only they knew how silly they sounded!
Ah, the ever popular "Blow Out". Why do we all get to experience them? Why could'nt this be something your mother told you about and let it be. You will look back on these days and laugh, I promise you, it make take 30 years but you will. The whining takes place no matter what the age of the child. You still whine to your Mom, right? I love reading your blogs, it is your everyday life I get to experience and it is a great opportunity. Hang in there. Love ~ LaDean
What a pain. It is so frustrating when all you are asking for so little (one bite) and they wont budge. It is so logical, just take it quick & your done, why can't they get it:). I'm not sure I have ever seen a baby so happy about being such a stinky mess. What a sweet little thing.
Oh yes...the blow out! Those usually happen when you have to be somewhere in less than 5 minutes. At least she was gracious enough to do it when you had time to take a picture and blog about it. This and the brownie tantrum will be great bribery pics when the kids are older.
I'm pretty sure that this is the stage in life where we always have to have a kitchen sink full of hot water and oxyclean otherwise our babies wouldn't have any unstained clothes to wear!! Parker is so much like Max!!
Oh my gosh Robyn welcome to motherhood. Just know that when one had a blow out I could count on it be double. You are really a cute "mom". Parker is really quite good at what he does.
What fun! Kayden had a big blowout on Sunday, too...while we were at church! Although, I have to say that Avery looks like she had him beat! I was thinking you should be the one wanting a brownie on a day like that! :)
Okay, Kayden stepped up to the challenge yesterday...I've never seen such a big blowout in my life! It was covering his entire body! Yuck! The things we do... :)
I've been known to give brownies or whatever else to just make someone STOP! Love the picture of the messy baby. I've never captured a moment like that on camera, but have cleaned many a mess like that. One time it happened at church and I didn't have backup clothes. My daughter had to finish church in a diaper with a blanket wrapped around her.

Oh my goodness! I don't know who had a worse day, you or that poor diaper.

Get YOURSELF a big brownie, sit on the couch with a magazine and a drink, and recuperate thyself, woman.
I ask myself that question everyday! I feel for you Robyn, I've been there many times myself.

Oh boy, been there...done that. It Makes you a stronger woman....or grumpier. :)
This too shall pass.

Oh, just give the kid a brownie! I can't stand seeing him cry...poor guy, did he really have to eat ALL of his dinner.
Avery looks so content in that picture. How is it she keeps getting cuter and cuter?

Oh no!!! I have been very fortunate to never have either of my girls have a blow out!!!! I am feeling even more blessed looking at that pic!

That diaper is my life these days. My little guy has had patchy diarrhea for months. Diarrhea that always leaks of the diaper.
May the force be with you....
Ugh. I feel for you!
I will come and rescue Parker from your mean parenting- you're on your own with Avery, I'm afraid!
