Easter Festivities

Every year, Joe's mom puts on a fabulous Easter party complete with an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Parker was a lot more into it this year than he was last year! His bag kept ripping and all the stuff kept falling out. I was going crazy trying to rescue the stuff (so that I could share the candy, of course), but Parker thought it was a game. He kept saying, "I dump it." He ate his fair share of candy, but I'm pretty sure I ate more!
We finally replaced the Easter bag for a plastic grocery sack. This didn't stop the bag dumping, however.
Kimberly used to have a "kissing cousin" named Jimmy. Apparently Parker now has one named Sadie.
Easter morning...Parker still looks half asleep.
Me and the kiddies...
Michael surprised us with a visit after church, but we forgot to have him take a family picture. Oh well! I feel kind of guilty because Easter sort of snuck up on me this year. The Easter Bunny sort of missed our house. The kids somehow ended up with Easter clothes, but no candy (I'd eaten all of it from the day before), no colored eggs, no baskets. Parker wasn't too upset...I missed the candy more than he did. I'll be a better mom next year! I guess that's not really what Easter's all about anyway, right?

I can't believe you let Parker sit on a trampoline! You have such a nice MIL to throw an Easter party for the kids. Looks like lots of fun. I can see you trying to rescue all the candy from the ground so it wouldn't get all dirty. Cute pictures too! Little Avery is really filling out! I love it!

Parker has a kissing cousin, eh? I think I miss the candy more than the kids do too!

It seems like every holiday sneaks up on me these days. If I remember to do something for the kids, I forget to do something for their church teachers, or preschool teacher, or for Christian. It seems like I can never get it all together, something is always forgotten. I purposely went very sparse on the candy this year because I didn't want to eat it all (which is what would happen:). I am always anxious that the candy makes it home in good condition also. I have invited Cara to my blog but I don't have Maylene's e-mail address, could you send to to me. Thanks!

I left my Easter stuff up because it just came much to early! The best thing is that your children will never remember they didn't have baskets! And you don't have to wait till next year to be a better mom- you're already GREAT!

What cute pictures. Easter did come too early this year and left us all wondering about it. You know everything about this year has really been different. I really love Avery's chubby cheeks. Parker is really growing up and he is such a cute boy.
Love ya,
